Simply delicious! Our culinary delights can be described briefly and concisely. We rely entirely on regional products. We even use the herbs, vegetables and berries from our own garden! You can taste the freshness and high quality ingredients in every mouthful! Our classics such as beef tartare, prime boiled beef with sautéed potatoes, goose liver or pike perch from the lake, will give you a feeling of pure happiness. A fiery culinary experience, is our highlight "Flambéed kidneys". Those of you with a sweet tooth can savour sweet temptations from our very own patisserie, such as Somlauer Nockerl or Griessdalken. Our kitchen team wields the wooden spoons for you each day at noon and in the evening. Choose from our varied buffet or enjoy an à la carte menu. On our extensive wine list you are guaranteed to find the right wine pairing.

We are happy to take in any intolerances, special diets or vegan in order to make your stay more enjoyable.

The half board kitchen times are from 12.00 to 1.30 p.m. (a la carte service until 1.30 p.m.) and from 6.00 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. (a la carte service until 9.00 p.m.)

Wine of the Year

A good meal must be accompanied by the right wine. We put great value on this. In our region in particular it's all about the perfect wine. That is why we nominate a “Wine of the Year” every year, which we personally sample and highlight specifically throughout the year. In addition, we have a large selection of fine wines and rarities from the Burgenland region on our wine list.

Sweet Ideas from Wende

At the breakfast buffet we indulge you with our home-made jams, lovingly prepared from grandmother's recipes. Incidentally, they are perfect souvenirs for those who unfortunately stayed at home.

We make seductive desserts and exquisite pastries in our patisserie. Like our “partner cake”, for example. This delicate cake consists of layers of light, wafer-thin sponge, a filling of fine Nougat-Grand Marnier cream and a marzipan casing. Covered in a fine nougat glaze, the Partner Torte is a unique taste experience for your own enjoyment or as a gift. In the morning we indulge you with our hearty breakfast buffet with home-made muesli with fresh apples and nuts, or home-made jams. Regional products such as sheep cheese from “Hautzinger”, Lylys honey from Jois, organic juices and a salmon breakfast with sparkling wine on Sunday round off our special offer. External guests are also very welcome at our breakfast buffet.

In our restaurant you can enjoy a hearty breakfast daily from 7:30 a.m to 10:00 am.

Sunday brunch at the Hotel Wende is a true culinary highlight! On two Sundays a month you can eat to your heart's content in the Sonnenstube restaurant from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Let us spoil you! Each brunch is dedicated to a special theme, such as pumpkin, asparagus, game or cherries.

Our homely Kaminlounge is a very special place to meet where a cosy atmosphere is created around the fire. Here, you can feel at home even at a distance. We will be happy to serve you exotic cocktails or fine wines from the Burgenland region. Every day from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. we invite you to our "Sun Downer", our happy hour, in the bar. Or you can watch the sunset on the terrace while enjoying an excellent glass of wine.

During the day, the bar turns into a café, where you can enjoy aromatic coffee specialities or relax with soothing teas. We will be happy to serve you one of our delicious home-made pastries with them. Our café is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
