Not only seminar guests but also holiday makers and tour groups like to stay at the hotel, the individual service and the family flair are important reasons for that. The enjoyment with which family Wende and their staff do their work is contagious and contributes to the guests’ expectations being exceeded.

The vendor’s staff is extremely experienced in holding seminars and dealing with seminar guests’ needs. Seminar facilities and services are being improved constantly without loosing the personal touch. Many renowned companies have found out about these advantages and now are regulars at Hotel Wende.

For guests with high demands there is a wide range of recreational activities for the whole family. Go on a cycle tour around lake Neusiedlersee, work-out in the hotel gym or relax at the in-door pool with a massage afterwards. Chronological history

In 1970, Horst und Waltraud Wende opened a small guest house with 34 rooms. Soon after, the first seminars were being held in a renovated breakfast room. The leader in Burgenland’s hotel industry is therefore a real family business, as it has been in the family since its inception.

In 1975 the hotel was extended to include a restaurant, an indoor-pool, a sauna, seminar rooms and capacity was increased to 200 beds.

Between 1998 and 2004 the hotel was renovated and extended again: the rooms were modernised, a jacuzzi and a steam bath were added to the relaxation area, the reception area was modernised and smoke detectors were put in place in the whole hotel. The whole ground floor was renovated, seminar rooms were enlarged, technology was brought up to speed, and the restaurant & bar were redesigned.
