The national park Neusiedlersee-Seewinkel is a paradise not only for ornithologists (scientists studying birds) but also for visitors with binoculars. You might see birds that live there as it is the only remaining suitable natural habitat for them.

The fascinating diversity of species of birds is the main attraction of the national park. Birds like the “Schilfrohrsänger” and the “Löffelente”, the majestic “Graureiher” and the “Sumpfrohreule” hide in the thick reeds of the shallow lake. Many species exclusively breed in the national park.

There are different ways to explore the national park, for example you can go on a guided walking-tour or a carriage ride, do a round-trip on a boat or a cycle tour around the lake.

Cycling

Cyclists will experience the untouched nature best as they will be very close to the beauty of the national park. The well-signed cycle paths take you to almost every corner of the region.
